Have you noticed that we've been blogging from Austin? This is Kristin greeting us from her home town--whaddya think?
When we came across these blank greeting cards on Etsy, we kind of fell in love. There's just something about sending a friend or relative a unique, handmade card out of the blue - especially one that the recipient might like to display in their home. Made out of vintage maps of Austin, our hometown, these are just what we've been looking for.
A set of three cards and three envelopes is $6 from Etsy seller Mammalia, with another set for sale here.
Or get your hands on four cards and four envelopes for $7.
Those of you outside of Austin may feel inspired to make your own. It seems simple enough: old city maps and acid-free cardstock.

just last night i went to a friend's house and we got all crafty til 1am - i made "just because" cards for my mom and sister!! it's really so much fun - and it'll mean that much more.
i love these ones with maps on 'em. they're giving me good ideas :)
Please keep the Austin posts coming!!!
I like. A colorful & simple diy!
Can I tell you how ecstatic I am to have a possible blogger form Austin!!! Since I have been coming to this site I've been thinking that Austin should be represented. WooHoo!!!...and I love the cards. I just moved away from my home town...Austin of course...and I was thinking of getting a map of the city to frame and hang on my wall. Maybe I'll get some cards as well.
Again with the Austin! 'bout time y'all!
