Gregory Euclide: Handmade Furniture for a Rural Home & Studio

Gregory Euclide is an artist who creates altered landscapes that address the tensions and contradictions between nature and culture. Gregory makes carefully crafted landscapes in his art and is equally thoughtful about his stunning home and studio in Le Sueur, MN.

A growing frustration with the quality and variety of locally available outdoor furniture choices inspired Gregory to design and build deck furniture for his home. He envisioned furniture that would be stable on rough or level surfaces, last for many years and provide a comfortable place to enjoy the thriving life of the cedar forest that surrounds his home and studio in Le Sueur, MN.

The chairs and tables are made of stock pine and re-purposed steel frames Euclide built for a previous project. The chairs have a lose fit at the joint between the seat and back so they may be adjusted to rest on uneven surfaces or lay flat on the more level deck.
