Greta's Not So Little Big Girl Room

My Room

Name: Greta (7)
Location: Los Angeles, California

We wanted to transition Greta's room from little girl-ish to big girl-ish as our summer project. We decided to give her room little updates here and there, while keeping costs down as much as possible.

The wall color was going to remain the same, Benjamin Moore's Crown Point Sand, which by the way is that perfect tan color. The bedding would also stay, John Robshaw, but we would freshen it up with a new blanket and pillows. The pillows we found on eBay and are by Jonathan Adler, and the blanket is from Target's Threshold collection.

We did our own DIYs for the hanging triangle garland and mounted antlers. And we used wine crates to create an easy solution for more shelving. For fun seating we found a comfy pouf from Target. While not screaming pre-teen (dear lord help us!) yet, it's not too babyish which was Greta's request. So we stuck to fun and colorful with DIY projects.

Thanks, Deborah! Readers, see more of Greta's room at My.Life.At.Playtime.
