Shaw's Original Fir...
Silver (or it's non-metallic counterparts) is just not a look I'll ever warm to in real life. But strangely, I LOVE looking at photos of silver or icy colored rooms or decor. LOVE. IT. But when I come across even the most perfectly done room or building using these hues, I just go cold. I find it really not calming in person.
for once, all of the examples are nice & 80% are extremely livable. this s/b bookmarked!
I love the idea of grey walls and I really wish I could do it in my apartment. But I don't think it's very livable unless you have pops of color.
I used to have warm, deep gray walls in my home office and LOVED it! It did make it a bit darker in the room, but the color was beautiful. The color seemed to compliment every other color I brought into that room. I recently painted the room pure white for something different, but man do I miss those gray walls....
I have a lot of grey rooms in my house. I find the colour so calming. I keep things looking warm by using some warmer tones, an ivory and chocolate brown rug, some modern satin brass elements, some neutral silks and textured Mongolian Lambswool pillows.
@reef- your description of your house/style sounds beautiful. Do you have pictures?
Could anyone recommend a color similar to the one in #3?
