This rug feels like an ode to today's weather in the northwest: grey. It's quite refreshing after the very warm weekend, actually, allowing us to appreciate the plush pile that would certainly serve us well in the (hopefully distant) future winter months.
New Zealand wool is hand-carved into a relief that follows the pattern of the clouds. Having been in the market for The Perfect Rug for a long while now, we can say that this color combo — grey, black and white — is a bit harder to come by than one would think.

expensive.
i think you skipped a step, there, mister snarky.
image, adjustment, posterize.
make into a well-made, beautiful rug then ship to the united states.
that's the part that makes it expensive.
i bought a gray and black HZL rug a while back. horrible service from 2modern but the rug itself is beautiful. their poppier, colorful ones are awesome as well. i've never seen "urban" rugs quite like theirs. i would buy a dozen different ones, if i had a dozen rooms or a dozen credit cards.
would like to see how it looks on the floor with some stuff on it.
seems interesting.
It´so nice! Want it...need it...
also bought a HZL rug a while back... but great service from 2modern...and the rug, a colorful one - just AMAZING!
