Although only a little over a decade old, the 11th Annual Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Griffith Park Holiday Light Festival is a city sponsored free event that has the air of an old timey tradition which we really believe is a wonderful holiday gift to the adults and children of Los Angeles. We live just a couple of miles from the entrance, and we've watched the festival become more popular each year, with cars winding far back, all patiently waiting to see the 23 unique spectacles of light within our city's largest public park. But remember, you can also enjoy the displays by shuttle bus (available weekends and December 15-30, accessible from the Los Angeles Zoo parking lot) and also by foot, taking the walking path. Just be sure to put on a coat, mittens and a scarf...it's getting a bit chilly out there! More information here.
