One of my happiest moments at this year's ICFF happened at the Grow House Grow booth. As I stood there chatting, it slowly dawned on me that not only did I recognize the wallpaper patterns as ones that I'd admired online before, but I also realized they were the work of one of my favorite Tumblr bloggers. I'm seriously obsessed with Katie Deedy's posts on her Tumblr and
got to tell her how amazing she is in person - fun, fun!
Katie creates patterns and color stories based on real stories, lending an evocative subtext and visual angle to something that is often purely decorative. For instance, the undersea-creature-populated pattern shown here is from the Parlour Room collection and is named Captain Smith, after the doomed leader of the crew of the Titanic.
