We love this stylishly sophisticated living room in a winter white palette. It's well-suited for a grown-up cocktail party, but it also works for family night.
Just clear off the coffee table and pull up the floor cushions for an evening of board games. Or lay on the cushions while putting together Legos. The best part of the room is the floor space. Slide the coffee table to the side and dance!

I love the wall colors -- so soothing. The glittery tile in the fireplace is also gorgeous.
My legs are too old for floor cushions, though, and I'm not that old. They're fun to sit on for about 15 minutes, until your legs fall asleep.
i think this room is gorgeous but it doesnt look kid friendly to me at all.
I fully agree with BellyMama. It really is lovely though.
It's friendly for older kids, but not for the very young; that glass thingy by the fireplace is tempting to knock down and smash.
Great room for a game of "don't touch that, not in your mouth, put that down, please." Lovely room all the same.
I was so blinded by the idea of that jar being broken that I didn't fully take it all in. Grown up cocktail party? Maybe it's just the people I know, but a party isn't a party until someone knocks over a glass of red wine. Lovely room all the same.
It's funny (and sad) how my mind immediately went to the potential tipping hazard of the tall cabinet, the easily-broken decor items at toddler height, and the difficulty of washing stains out of those fluffy throws.
Ahhh, maybe someday. Beautiful room, though.
