One of our favorite pieces in our home is a second-hand Gubi chair we found through AT's Scavenger column. We love the molded plywood shape, which references classic mid-century modern forms but also feels new and original. When they debuted in 2003, Gubi Chairs were the first furniture made from molded 3-D veneer that made it possible to decrease a wooden chair's thickness from 10mm to 5mm. A few years later, we think they still look fresh.
