Charles and Ray Eames were best known as architectural, graphic, and furniture designers. But did you know they were filmmakers, too? Which brings us to this timely idea for a Halloween costume for all of you modernists out there:
You see, the pair filmed Clown Face, a clown training video, in 1971. We haven't actually seen it, so we're not sure if the image up top is from that film or if the film just inspired Eames to paint his own face. But what you see pictured is Charles Eames himself painted in a modern clown face. It's a Mondrian-inspired design with a white background, black grid, and a red accent filling in one of the squares of the grid.
One year a friend of mine actually painted his face like this for a Halloween party. Pretty great idea, don't you think?

It's disturbing and prefect for Halloween haha... and it reminds me of Pinhead from the Hellraiser movies ;)
Disturbing and nerdy. Jackpot!
Clowns are not ok. Even if they are Eames clowns. But I suppose Halloween is the exception since creepy, disturbing, nightmare-inducing is not only acceptable but encouraged for this time of year. I would still prefer someone go as a molded chair instead. :-\
i don't find this disturbing at all.
i like it.

two years ago i was damien hirst's diamond covered skull. 6 hours of spirit gumming tiny diamond-like rhinestones to my face, two nights in a row was a chore, but well worth it.
Like jamieo, first thing I thought of when I saw this was Pinhead.
Aussie singer Gotye has done a video like this...
