We've blogged about pet window seats but this "Hammock" coffee table is completely new. Designed by Japanese design firm Case-Real, the table has a built-in bed for your pet.
The Hammock table has a stainless steel frame, glass, and a rattan shelf. Would your cat like it? See more images of the Hammock table on Case-Real's website.

Commercial Flour Sa...
Cool idea, but when I had a glass coffee table, my cat preferred to sit on top of it than underneath! It kind of backfires to make beds for kitties... it never fails that when you buy a specific bed, toy, or whatever it is, they will just turn their noses up at it. I've given up buying toys for my cat when he's just as happy batting around a paper wad.
Put some clean laundry in it, then they'll definately go there. :)
Miltoncat: so true!!! Not to mention, I think the woven material would quickly become frayed & shredded from cat scratching!
Although if the cat did stay under it, it would be kinda cool to see if he'd bat at any objects you put on top!
My cat sits under our glass coffee table all the time, so I think she would like this, but I agree with Ta - that rattan would be irrestible to her for scratching. Also, I think she might like to hide under the hammock rather than lie on top of it.
I've purchased different beds for my cat but she prefers a pillow-MINE! I gave up long ago.
That definitely looks like a scratching pad waiting to happen!
And I agree, buying cats beds is no guarantee they'll use them. Cute idea, though.
I can't see my cat using this. He prefers to be on top of things.
Agree with miltoncat and others and my kitty likes to move around and usually likes to be hidden while napping.
