While hanging a hammock inside my house has always sounded nice, it's never been a reality. Until now! We're fixing up our sunroom and there's a spot where I've always imagined building a window seat. However, built-in window seats are expensive! Next idea up: A hammock!

I arrived at this idea because we just had new floors put in in our sunroom. They're large, natural slate tiles that turned out beautifully. Now, I can't imagine building in a window seat that will cover those gorgeous floors along one end of the room.

So, I've been digging up inspiration for a hammock in the sunroom. Here's what I've found. Doesn't this look lovely, even in winter, since an indoor hammock would allow for lounging even when the temperature drops?

Even if we decide to install a window seat a few years down the road, an affordable hammock is the perfect stand-in (er, swing-in) while we save up!

Update: As of now, as I finish up this post, my husband is developing reservations. I'll let you know if this dreamy idea becomes a reality.
