For years I've been obsessed with owning a long farmhouse style table with stump stools surrounding it. But not wanting my friends to have a case of "uncomfortable bum" after a long dinner, I've held off. Maybe instead of stools, I should have set my sights higher... on this carved wooden Panton-esque chair!
I ran across this fun find over at Dezeen. What was once was a large log is now a functioning chair, and all it took was a chainsaw (and mad skills/talent, no doubt).
I'm not exactly sure it's something for every home, but it brings a great new twist on an old classic. Forget upholstery classes; now I want chainsaw carving lessons!
Do you like funky versions of original pieces or would you rather stick with the tried and true retail version instead?
