Our house is paper towel-free, and because of that, I'm always looking for unique towels, washcloths and scrubbers. Living paper towel-free makes you more creative about how to scrub down your counters and surfaces. And these are by far the neatest washcloths and scrubbies I've ever seen! While they are not crocheted from organic yarn, they are handmade and will last for up to five years. They are washable and are 100% cotton.

Three crocheted washcloth/face scrubbies for $7.00. Each measures 5 inches square, the perfect size for "removing your make-up, showering, bathing, kitchen and even on babies."

Two double-thick crocheted scrub scrubbies ($7) perfect for dishes and even baths. Each scrubbie measures 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.

Seven crocheted single face scrubbies for $10. Each measures 3.75 inches round.

Crocheted washcloth scrubbies for adults, children and babies. Two six inch square washcloths for $10.

These are SOOOO easy to make. Why buy them? Also, if you're just learning how to crochet, making small dish-scrubby-sized squares is the perfect way to learn different stitches.
I make these all the time. I go to my favorite yarn stores and find the super-deep-discount section. When stores have only one or two skeins of any particular yarn, they practically give it away. I just buy whatever cotton yarn they have. It's an easy crochet project to keep in your purse for times when you're prompt but others aren't.
"Crotched," heh heh.
I was handed-me-down some knitted baby washcloths that my husband thought were too thick for our precious bebe, so I've been using them for my face and they get the makeup off where Burt's Soap Bark cream fails.
I've just promised a little girl to teach her how to knit and was wondering what we'd make. Perfect.
