We love the work of local artist Rob Glebe who frequently exhibits at craft shows up and down the East Coast. Rob began as a toolmaker, then moved on to fabricating parts for private yachts, before taking up lamp-making and decorative arts...

In 2006, Rob turned his artistic endeavors into his full time job, and hasn't looked back. His studio is located in nearby Chestertown MD, and his art can be purchased online if you can't get to one of his upcoming shows. Rob offers pieces at a wide range of prices- the Triangle Layers piece pictured at the top of the post is $2800, the Dragonfly Grass bowl is $895, and the Mask Basket is $95.

Those are beautiful! I'd seen his brother Wes's outstanding jewelry designs in a gallery in Cambridge, MA (we actually would have gotten his rings for wedding bands if we could afford it), but didn't know about Rob's artwork.... very cool.
One of each , please.
very different --- years from now might be worth a small fortune for one of these. Prob worth a bit now really!
The lamp at the top reminds me of this spectacular Lucite honeycomb from Arteluce: http://stylenorth.ca/blog/2008/08/shops-ultra-lighting/
