Always on the lookout for unique containers for my beloved plant collection, I couldn't help but swoon over these sculpturally imperfect beauties. Esther Pottery is the brainchild of husband and wife team Steve Siegrist and Renee Lotenero; a duo with backgrounds quite befitting these exquisite pots.
Steve, a landscape designer, and Renee, a sculptor, crafted these pots to complement the unique forms of cacti and succulents. Individually handmade in Los Angeles, the pots are made with high-fire clay and glazes and come in three color choices: Big Sur, Joshua Tree and Death Valley. I'm particularly fond of the subdued beachy hues, reminiscent of worn ocean pebbles, as well as the irregular shapes that lend the pots an organic coastal appeal. For those of you on the West Coast, you can find Esther Pottery at Flora Grubb Gardens and Pot-ted.
