Glass bottles are back in a big way, and what better way to welcome them into your home than a simple upcycled upgrade? We looked around for some creative, vintage, and just plain fun ways to make soap dispensers a little more personalized. You may not realize just how many people wash up at your place until you add something unexpected, like the upcycled version of this familiar household staple. Here are some of the most creative soap dispensers we have found to date:
1. Old Seltzer Bottles These bottles have been reused for many a year (so many, most of us can't remember the times when they first came about). Just screw in the dispenser lid and Viola! You have a vintage soap dispenser on your hands. If that isn't available, then check out Grasshopper 501's shop with a variety of dispensers to choose from, but it will cost you a hefty $80.
2. Beverage Bottles Now for the whiskey and Patron lovers out there, English Pirate's Etsy shop hosts some fun takes on the dish dispenser from your favorite sources of liquid courage. Prices range from $20 - $40, but we have a feeling this inspiration may take you to the craft store for some unique holiday gifts.
3. Good Old Mason Jar What can you not use a Mason Jar for? Heather Bullard offers a step by step DIY for turning your reliable Mason Jar into an accent for your kitchen. Read about it here.
4. Olive Oil Dispenser Since they already come with a top made for dispensing liquids, upgrading sweet ceramic olive oil dispensers to hold your dish soap can be fun. Just remember it might require a little bit of cleaning now and then.

I did the Mason Jar soap dispenser, we now have 3 of them around the house - fantastic idea!!! It was so easy.
I'd love a post on how to DIY a glass FOAM soap dispenser. I feel like I use less soap when I dilute it to foam strength, but right now I just refill bought plastic ones. Glass would be a nice (and more stable) upgrade.

I love the idea of using an old liquor bottle for soap! Hmm makes me wonder if any pumps I have would fit a liquor bottle.
My fiance and I were SOLD on this idea. Sunday we found some GREAT vintage bottles which are begging to be used RIGHT away! While hunting we also found a seltzer bottle. Practically salivating at our amazing find we became weary when the lid/pump top didn't unscrew off. It turns Left and Right but doesn't become loose enough to remove. After deliberating we decided to ask our friends at AT for advice on how to remove the top (if it's possible) before we forked over the cash. May we have suggestions/advice?
Hmm great question jjames582! It is hard to know without seeing the bottle though. Have you tried adding anything that will either help loosen it like Vaseline or eco-alternatives or anything to help pry it open without breaking it, like needle-nosed pliers?
