- Nadia Geller's bed for the Upward Bound House combines a rustic headboard with pillows made from old jeans!
- The imperfect look of the headboard Velvet Moss created for her friend out of fence wood and walnut stain gives it an even greater appeal. Check her blog to see the full pictures of how she did it.
- What could be simpler than this look? Keep the rest of the room equally simple to keep the look from feeling unfinished.
- Contrasted with snowy white bedding and modern architectural-style lamps, two pallets make an especially inviting headboard.
- This DIY from Design*Sponge puts a glamorous spin on the rustic look.

I don't mind them. The second looks unfinished to me, and the third one - I just don't get it.
It does remind me that I have to finish the designs for mine though...
Love these! I recently posted about how much I love the one Dana from House*Tweaking made.
What purpose does a headboard serve? Because whatever that purpose is, I don't think #3 is filling it.
I do like the cabinet in that same picture though.
Yeah #3 makes no sense to me. Bed would be more elegant without the planks.

at the chateau
as long as they don't cause splinters I could live with some of them
I like the first one, and anything would be an upgrade from the current headboard that was given to us for free.
why would i want 2 planks of wood (third pict) - sorry =/
alright i take it back - its for the aesthetics of the whole place, if you see
where this place is (greenery outside ze window)
Ceiling..
the Wood the rustic the angular...seems like if i dont add two, and ESP TWO (and they must be 'straight', "no nonsense" too..) they(the concept) wont work, so.. yup.. I take it back. I would need them in this #3 pict case =/=)
I'd be afraid they'd shed. Gritty pillowcases...
