We don't know how we didn't come across this toddler bed sooner. The simple construction looks sweet and modern at the same time. Unfortunately, this bed isn't available for purchase.
It's actually a DIY job inspired by the much-admired Nume toddler bed at what was probably a fraction of the price. Impressive, isn't it? If you want to see more, go and check out One Little Minute for photos during the building process.

The construction is great, but it looks like a dog bed. :(
The link to One Little Minute is the same as the Nume Toddler Bed, it's not taking me to photos of the building process.
That said, at first I thought it was a dog bed too, but then I read on and realized how practical it seems to be as a toddler bed. No need to worry about falling out, the little entryway would make for a fun fort if you covered it with a bed tent from Ikea or devised your own.
I think i might try it once I can see how-to pictures. It seems simple enough to make and since it's DIY you could make cut-outs in the sides or tweak it as you want and paint it to make it look like a fun toddler bed.

The link is fixed. Thanks for letting me know!

I love it. So many opportunities to add color, inside and out of the bed. I'd personally add some more cutouts on the sides.
I could see it being really fun for a toddler, but yeah, that picture, at least, makes it look like a pet bed.
SUPER CUTE!
i did not and still dont see a dog bed looking at this. perhaps i just dont do dog furniture.
I'm happy to see the link to the Nume bed, because I couldn't seem to dig up a source for the bed I saw and wanted to create. I'm also happy to see we achieved a similar look and feel for 1/14th of the cost!
And, a dog bed never would have occurred to me. A little monster bed, maybe;)
I like the potential here -- more cutouts, paint jobs, and perhaps even some storage underneath like a ship's bed.
Looks like a wooden box with a hole. Needs more cut outs or colors or just, design.
I love the simplicity of the design and it seems like it'd be a very soothing place to sleep, without the distraction of lots of interior details.
