We've been obsessing over these pillows by UK-based Helkat Design, who say their inspiration comes from “great British symbols and icons, heraldic images, international flags, New England Style and Scandinavian textiles.” What's not to love?
The graphic Union Jacks and Welsh Dragons printed on natural, textured fabrics create a juxtaposition of contemporary and rustic that suits our aesthetic perfectly. A big chunk of our family lives in the UK so we love finding British touches for our home, but even if you don't have any ties across the pond, these pillows present an irresistible appeal to the inner anglophile. Visit Helkat Design's Etsy shop to see more of their wares.

These are great pillows. I have always thought the Welsh Dragons was an excellent design even though I have no tie to it myself.

Hi
Thankyou for including me and also for understanding my ethos. Yes, I am wanting people to embrace my take on Britain, have a little bit of Blighty in their home!
Dig deep and bring out the hidden anglophile! :)
Kindest regards
Helen
I have one of Helen's cushions and their are fabulous!!!
I'll tell everyone what's not to love about Helen's pillows: I found that she ripped off at least one original illustration from another shop on Etsy. Answer to this, Helen. It's one of the fox pillows in your shop on Etsy, and the original fox illustration pre-dates your pillow, is part of an ongoing animal series, and has been featured on numerous design blogs. What do you have to say to the illustrator whose work you stole? Disgusting!
Hi Janicewhere. Are you aware of the fact a design, by right, can be copied if the design isn't protected? Hundreds of graphic designers do it all around the world, and hundreds of thousands of designs are copied. Art itself in fact thrives of people copying as no two pieces will ever be the same, try copying a painting by any artist and it will become your own. I think all these designs are fantastic, original or not they have there own unique twist. I'm sure she won't be the first or last person to do a fox print (on a cushion or not). So let's get out of the playground for a second. Hurrah to Helkatdesign!
Hi, Lyddie! Helkat is known for ripping off the artwork they use. The designs they ripped off were protected. They've stolen artwork and placed it on their pillows. They weren't simply "inspired" by great illustrators. They copy illustrations almost exactly and slap it on their pillows. I'm sure if you were an illustrator and went through the trouble of creating good artwork, then saw that Helkat used your work without your permission to sell pillows, you'd be pretty pissed!
