Having a large enough hallway to actually decorate is an amazing blessing if you ask me. The thing is, they aren't exactly the easiest spaces to decorate and it can be pretty tough to create a concise space. Small tables, mirrors and lighting are the best and easiest ways to create a cohesive and successful hallway.
Mirrors play the role of the all-star. Hallways are typically small spaces and it's best to make them seem much larger than they really are. Mirrors, big or small, will do your hallway serious justice. Here are some helpful hints:
• Guardian suggests amping up the light in hallways to make the space seem larger. Excess light can come in the form of additional light fixtures but also with mirrors too. The circular mirror above the table in a staple in many stores. Try IKEA, Target or any other major retailer for similar options.
• House To Home show us that using a large mirror at the base of a staircase can actually open up the small space. They also point out that using a large frame can be beneficial. Find the hallway mirror at Juliettes Interiors
• Hallway Mirror & Coat Rack is the perfect addition to a modern hallway. This two-in-one can be super utilitarian for those busy families.
• HOVET is our all time favorite mirror from IKEA. We mostly see this mirror in bedroom either hung on the wall or simply leaning up against one — this mirror would also look great in a hallway. At the base of the stairs or the end of a hallway, it'll definitely make a statement.
• Channel 4 suggests giving the hallway depth by using more than one mirror. Combining several smaller mirrors creates a really interesting space. Find the mirrors at Laura Ashley.

I love that first hallway
I like the first hallway, too but because of the great colors used.
I would have enjoyed some hallways with colors other than white, too. Mirrors are fabulous just about anywhere.
#3 isnt going to be very useful as a mirror...
I have a big baroque gilt mirror I purchased from Horchow during one of their 25% off sales - it ended up being less than $200!
I use an old one of my grandmother's, oval with a gold ornate frame.

I adore that first hallway - it's exactly what I need coming in and going out the door - clean and fresh.
Any pictures of split-level foyers? I'm lucky to have room for a landing strip, hooks on the wall, and an outlet for a lamp...
I looove poppy seed on top of breed. My name tag on the outside of the door is so polished it looks like a mirror so I have placed it in mouth height so I can check my teeth as I lock my door.
