Fans of the HandySitt portable seat will be happy to know that Minui, the company behind Handysitt, has just released the HandySitt chair. It can be used as a base for the portable seat, allowing the seat to serve as a highchair for children as young as six months, but it also serves as a standalone piece of furniture that does double duty as a stepstool and as a seat for older kids.
The feet of the portable seat slide into pop-up hinges on the chair. Then a hidden magnetic system connects the steel arms of the seat to the chair. The top step of the chair can also be adjusted as your child grows. Add sleek Danish design to this functionality, and you've got a winner.
Made of sustainably harvested wood, the two pieces are sold separately. The HandySitt chair ($169.95) is available in birch, teak and black. Find a retailer near you or order online.

I have the handy sitt. Its super convenient. I took it with me all over Europe and it worked great. I think its a great idea to have the daily high chair option. I love multi-use baby pieces.
I JUST bought a Handy sitt on sale for almost 50% off. It's awesome quality. Can't wait to bring it to the visits to grandparent's house (which is why we bought it). Not sure about the chairs but you can usually find the Handy sitt at a reduced price if you're willing to look around the internet for one.
