Our better half is somewhat obsessed with the DIY network. To our our non-premium cable subscribing self (Why pay more when there's Hulu and TV-on-DVD?), it was a surprise to find that it's not all Martha-Stewart-like housekeeping projects. The DIY Network is full of great shows about home renovation and decorating, including one that spoke right to our gadget-loving souls, Cool Tools...

Tool expert Chris Grundy hosts the show that features the latest high-tech DIY tools around—plus also some tools that have been around for a bit that you might not know about. Along the way, you'll learn tidbits of trivia about these 'power gadgets':

Did you know there's a device that lets you carry a sheet of heavy plywood with just one hand? How about using your drill for everything from cleaning ducts to snipping sheet metal? What does "WD-40" stand for, and did you know there are more than 2,000 uses for it? Tool expert Chris Grundy answers these burning questions and more on Cool Tools.

You can check out the DIY Network schedule for air times or watch full episodes in your browser online.

Our favorite thing is that the folks at DIYNetwork.com were smart enough to include a "Shop Cool Tools" link on the show's home page. There, you can browse and buy most of the "OMGGottaHaveItNow!" gadgets you'll see on the show.
