SHIFT is the home and workplace of architect David Baker. Designed by David Baker + Partners, the San Francisco residence also functions as a gallery. So it's no wonder that the hanging bikes stored throughout the home also appear as sculpture...

i want high ceilings... :(
I wanted to do this with a bike of mine. First I was going to hang it on my bedroom wall (when I was with roommates), but it would stick out too far. Then I wanted to hang it above my headboard, but I chickened out. Finally, I decided I wanted to hang it above the staircase in my current place, but it would have been physically impossible to do so. I decided to just go ahead and sell the darned thing.
