Next week marks the start of Gardening and Outdoors month, but we were so excited by these string gardens, that we thought a little bit of eye candy would be fitting for a gloomy Monday morning. (Gloomy in New York, at least.) Created by Fedor in Amsterdam, these hanging gardens began as an art installation using string, moss, grass, and bowls or a glass reservoir, but you can now purchase them.

The string gardener says his intention is for the plants to “find their balance” as they grow and become heavy. We imagine that watering could be a bit tricky... curious to find out more. But in the meantime, we love the photos and wish we could see it in person.
