We're certified Hans Wegner junkies. So imagine our delight when we stumbled upon this Wegner buffet at Monument. Sure, Monument isn't the most inexpensive vintage shop in San Francisco, but they do restore their pieces to absolutely flawless condition. We think it's worth it.

In typical Wegner style, it's teak and from Denmark in the 1950's. Our favorite part? It's completely collapsible for shipping! Available for $5,800.

aw, couldn't you just give us the price so we don't have to register to find out?
I'd like to have a point of comparison for my own collecting.
it's $5,800
its beautiful, but i love the curves on that dark peice to the right.
DahilaCactus, I believe that also is a buffet!
Oy, guess I missed that--thanks!
It is a beaut.
Can anyone lend me $5,800? I swear I'll pay you back.
Not a hans Wegner, but still beautiful and a tiny fraction of the price...

wow, this piece is absolutely gorgeous.
this particular item may not be in my price range, but i certainly think it's a worthy investment to prevent such quality craftsmanship from ending up in a landfill. why buy new when you can find something with its own unique history?
i've taken to trying to avoid buying new furniture items altogether - more often than not, vintage or recycled piece just look cooler.
ebay. same piece. also in san francisco. $4250. before haggling (it's been there for months).
and i've seen it go for much less on ebay and at auction.
love monument but i don't pay retail.....often.
