From today, Feb. 12, through Sunday, Feb. 15, the Chicago History Museum is celebrating Abraham Lincoln's birthday with four days (the first days of their year-long celebration of all things Lincoln) of general admission costing just one penny per person. And today from 10 am - 2 pm, there's a party:

In honor of Lincoln, general admission is a penny! No reservation required.

i realized it was his birthday when it was too late last night. otherwise i would have made US map and lincoln head cookies.. I still plan on doing it for presidents day though. Helps that I have the day off.
wish i could get up there for penny admission, that is awesome!
Such a great photo!
shouldn't we be saying happy birthday to Darwin too?
he is 200 today too :D
And Darwin! Don't forget Darwin! In the long-term scale of things, he did a hell of a lot more than some politician. He single-handedly reshaped the way thinking people see the world.
