Happy Birthday to Nikolay!

JoAnne sent in a greeting to celebrate Nikolay's big day. She writes: We are celebrating his first birthday, first with a quiet family party, and this coming Saturday with a grand old time at the Phoenix Zoo. Thankfully, February is a lovely time to have been born in Phoenix. Nikolay loves to read books, turn all manner of household goods into walking aides, and watch the wildlife in our backyard.

Time passes so differently with a child - in one sense, the past year feels like ten, because I really can't remember what it was like before he was with us. Then again, it feels like only a few months have passed, because I can't believe that a year has gone by already, and that my big baby is now a little boy!
