Name: Will
Birthday: First
Greeting: It's hard to believe you weighed just 2 lbs at birth; you've grown into a lovable little chunk and the best part of our lives. You're easy-going but determined, a connoisseur of spoons and an expert at manly grunting. We're so proud of everything you've accomplished, the overwhelming challenges you've faced head-on. We can't wait to see what you'll do next!

Congratulations on Will's first year. We welcomed preemie twins this year and despite the overwhelming sadness of leaving them in the NICU, we were incredibly driven by their strength and ability to fight. Will looks so strong, healthy and beautiful. You would never know he was a tiny champion. Best of luck to all of you in your life together and happy birthday, Will!!
MeMoBaby - thank you so much. We actually welcomed preemie twins as well; Will's twin brother Graham was with us for six days - a tough little fighter, very much loved and missed. It's amazing and inspiring what our babies can accomplish. Being in the NICU - and having children, period - really puts in perspective what's most important and has helped me do a better job of celebrating joyfully. Congratulations on your own little champions!
Happy birthday to Will! Amazed that he was only 2lbs at birth, he looks like such a happy little chunk now.
Sorry for your loss, as well.
He is a handsome and happy little guy - I love the photo with the Hello Ladies shirt. Happy Birthday Will!
Happy Birthday, Sweet Will and blessings to Graham! My twins were micro preemies as well. Ewan lived for 75 days, Liam is now 5 months old. I think he will look a lot like Will when he is one. The "manly grunting" description made me laugh. Our nurses call it the "preemie grunt".!
I want to tell you that my heart aches for your losses (piratema as well). I know this isn't exactly the appropriate forum, but I cannot imagine what it must be like for both of your families to have celebrated the homecoming of one baby, while simultaneously grieving the loss of another. Even from just your few words I can tell that you are both amazingly strong and your little boys are so lucky to have you. I hope Will's day was super special and much love and strenghth to you and your families.
Thank you, MeMoBaby.
What a cutie!! My sister was a preemie, 26 years ago, and she's just finished her MFA degree. Wishing big things for your small sweetheart as well!
