Bedrooms are a great place to experiment with pattern on the walls. Due to their smaller square footage and less public nature, you can be a touch more decor-fearless and follow your heart when choosing a wallpaper. One consideration? Making a choice that suits the style of your bed. Check out these bed and paper pairings that show how a well matched couple can work together successfully...
A hollywood-glam white linen upholstered headboard combined with a sharp gray Graham and Brown Marcel Wanders plaid wallpaper gives a whimsical twist to the stately manor look. Via Colin and Justin.

A vintage style silver bed meets its match with this with metallic cherry blossom paper. Via House To Home
A graphic black and white print from Graham and Brown combined with a (perfectly!) matched covered headboard would work with whatever simple bright bedding you wanted to switch in for the season. Via 6th Street Design School
Cow Parsley wallpaper from Cole and Son paired with rustic wood furnishings softens up the rough edge but still gives an outdoorsy feel. Via Hirshfields Color Club

A classic birds and flowers tropical print from Thibaut in hot pink pairs with a white painted twin with bamboo details for a vintage meets upscale summer home feel. Via Thibaut.

Miles Redd matched this flowing flowery Chinoiserie paper from De Gournay with a hard edged modern metal four poster bed for a mashup that is unexpected but elegant. Via Elle Decor

For over-the-top fairy tale romance, a silver De Gournay tree mural walllpaper pairs perfectly with a vintage style bed upholstered in rose velvet and featuring a crown topped silk canopy! Via Wonderland Philosophy

where can i get that lamp in the first photo?
Except for the first pic, a good reminder of how much I hate wallpaper.
I luv the first room.
I really like the bed covers, where's the best place to pick up a light duve?
I love them all!!! Thanks.
I like everything but the first photo. Somehow - the friction in the pattern just hurts my eyes. Everything else is playful, romantic, soothing.
That last one looks strikingly similar to this tree mural: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/sf/look/look-sideblown-quince-tree-mural-025478
The wallpaper in gold and black was actually posted yesterday - http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/chicago/interior-design/power-plays-dramatic-decadent-decor-ideas-cs-interiors-140539
I love both - now I can't decide which one I like better!
The wallpaper in the last photo, I meant to say.
I love most of these, but the first and second are my favorite...Not just for the wallpaper, but the overall feel of the rooms.
I've always wanted to try out some wallpaper but end up steering away...these posts manage to pull me back in though!
Your title and post implies that these bed styles are the best choice for the given wallpapers, but you are not explaining why these bed styles and wallpapers are a perfect match; just merely showing nice photographs. On the last few posts you begin to touch on the why, but the first posts give no indication of what makes these beds and wallpapers a "perfect match". It's not good enough to say, "they just do," and it's not good enough to post pretty pictures. As a designer I want you to support your assertions. (I don't necessarily disagree with you, I'm just looking for more depth).
A lot of these rooms are really busy. I want my bedroom to be quiet, calm and relaxing. How could a person sleep with all that crazy pattern?
How the heck do people sleep in these rooms? They make me hyper! Especially the first room. The wallpaper makes my eyes spin, the bed is on the floor, I would never be able to sleep.

If you want educated explanations for design solutions, I highly recommend reading Houzz.com.
Their bloggers are real designers with a more mature understanding and clearer explanations of design - not just posting pretty pictures and random links of things for sale.
Ditto, @MyDoistheShihTzu!
chill people. it's all about personal taste. I wanna know where i can get some of those beds! i'm having a hard time finding a great king bed. (Canada) I looooove that silver metallic one and the vintage one with the rose velvet. Help me please!
@MyDoistheShihTzu
Surprisingly, I think closing my eyes helps.
If you had described to me a wallpaper as "metallic cherry blossom" I would have run from it as from a fire, but that trellis print is actually quite nice.
The De Gournay chinoserie is lovely, but I feel kind of "duh" saying that. I guess if I ever have tons of money just falling out of my butt...?
"Cow Parsley wallpaper from Cole and Son paired with rustic wood furnishings softens up the rough edge" - what rough edge? I don't see furniture I would describe as rustic? Vaguely shaker-inspired sleigh bed in a honey finish with a nightstand with polished bin pulls = rustic? Okay.
Doesn't really matter to me what her caption says for this post, all the visual images will be scrutinized based on my own personal taste, interpretation, and interest?
If she said she was giving a tutorial on how to match wallpaper to room setting, then I certainly would expect much more.
Furthermore, since AT is free, I never expect too much.
Back to the rooms, I really like the paneling behind the bed in the first pic.
The first bed is low to the floor. The second bed looks like you have to pole vault to get into it.
I love the first room. How did they make the bed frame? What type of bed is that? I love the bed and it's covering specifically.
David
I usually like over-the top pattern/color in small doses, but wallpaper that busy is REALLY over-the-top. And is that a light fixture in the first photo? It looks like a free-form paper towel sculputre.. ;)
while the effect is pretty in the first room, it's waaaaayyy too frenetic for me to consider a good sleeping environment. I want something relaxing and that spells anything but.
Surprisingly, I find myself liking the more feminine looks much more than I would have thought. And I actually like the very flowery pink and orange room, although for a teenager's room, where they do a lot more than sleep.
I love the last one; it may be "over the top" but for a luxurious, gorgeous bedroom it is fabulous! Thanks, AT.
have a look at this wonderful wallpaper,
............... inpiring perfectly a quiet bedroom athmosphere !!!
