Three - leaving your toothbrushes exposed gets toilet water on them. Yuck!

I got my now-husband, then-boyfriend, this exact holder as a little present when we were planning our first trip together. He still uses it and it's such a cheery thing to see first thing in the morning when you stumble into the bathroom!

I could use magnets and stick those to the inside of my medicine cabinet!

monkeyme - how does toilet water travel from its home in the porcelain throne, across the room to the sink?

my bathroom is tiny... they aren't all that far apart... i can easily touch the outer ridge of the sink from the toilet (sorry for the image). but if your toilet let's off enough of a splash to travel even two feet across the room, and at least two feet up in the air to be at toothbrush height... i think you need a new toilet! or to rig it to use less water! yikes!

You can't actually SEE toilet water hitting across the room. But I thought it was a fairly well-known fact that toilets spray their germs all over the bathroom when flushed.

yikes. i want to go back into my cave of ignorant bliss. i had no idea.

Why not close the lid before flushing? And here is an even worse image.....my bathroom is so small that I can sit on the toilet and have a foot in the bathtub and a hand in the sink. Talk about tiny! I do love these little holders and I love the idea of sticking them inside the medicine cabinet.

Did you guys ever see that mythbusters episode?

They tested the theory that uhem "matter" is found on toothbrushes from being misted from toilets. Turns "matter" is on toothbrushes but not from toilet spray but from our hands and mouths.

Not sure if you feel better or worse.
So leave your toothbrush in the bathroom. It makes no difference.

I might win. My pedestal sink overlaps my "throne" by about 1/2". You have to do a little lean action at my house.

i am so glad i am not the only one with such a small bathroom!!!

i've used toothbrush holders with suction cups but they always end up falling off(the suction cup that is)!!

I read its better to keep your toothbrush in the medicine cabinet and your medicines out of the bathroom!

Cute product but I've NEVER had luck with suction cups on anything! I always thought they were for suckers. (No pun intended but I did feel rather clever after I typed that) Seems like something that you hafta pry open a coupla times a day would pop off. Is it just me? Is there a trick?

I'd advise that before you stick it up, think about where it'll land when it drops.

I've used one of these for several years now. It is attached to the mirror above my sink. I wet the mirror, then stick it on rather hard, which works reasonably well for me, MoJo. Every once in a while, though, I come home to find brush and holder in my sink. The mini-crash has even woken me from a light sleep.

At work we use a type of "transfer tape" for lotsa stuff. It's Scotch VHB (very high bond) by 3M. It's kinda like tape adhesive w/out the backing. We call it booger tape because of it's consistancy. Although it holds very well-it can usually be removed without great effort or damage. Your results may vary. It comes in rolls of thin film or dots. We've even got it on a tape gun-Booger Tape Gun! It's a little hard to find but we got it out of the U-Line catalog on-line.
My point is that it would work well to keep these toothbrushes on the wall.
And no, I don't have any affiliation with the afore mentioned companies.
