Why do I love this post as much as I do??
Those trough in the floor toilets are becoming rarer and rarer in Japan as they are replaced by Western toilets. They're dreadful anyway. Women in particular have lots of problems with them and end up urinating on the floor. :-P
Sorry I missed World Toilet day yesterday (if you live in Europe). I'm sure we could have made a splash if we'd known.
