The harlequin pattern has a long, winding history through cathedral, palace and hotel floors, jester costumes, women's fashion and, currently, as a pattern for children's rooms. Defined by diamond shapes in a checkered layout, today this print signals a modern, graphic and playful aesthetic and a softer version of the geometric trend.
