This sort of thing kind of hurts my brain. While I admit the brilliance of creating such a device, isn't it just working backwards? Sort of like converting your high quality mp3s or CDs to a cassette tape? It's not like there aren't keyboards already available. If you need to type that much, maybe the iPad isn't the right device for you?
I think this is cool and quirky--a fun, low-tech alternative to the typical options. I hope you can type with it a whole lot faster than what's in the video, though. (Also, did you say "high-quality mp3s"? Haha.)
