Quirky in a good way. There isn't an item we don't covet from Hazel and Melvin, a Minneapolis-based online shop.
Designer Rebecca Yaker runs Hazel and Melvin. Her items exude handmade charm but don't look homemade. The Abacus Quilt is a real find ($115).

We are loving Hazel and Melvin diaper bags (wait for pic to change). This
Balance Natural messenger type bag is made from Japanese fabric designed by Etsuko Fuyura. It's got lots of pockets and comes with a matching changing pad.

If all of these items are a bit too expensive but you don't want to walk away empty-handed, add one of these unique handmade sock monkeys. This one is named Gilda and she's yours for $42.
Hazel and Melvin definitely is worth a bookmark; you'll be glad you did the next time you get a baby shower invitation. Our only suggestion would be that the product photos are better lit in the future.
