Crayola's Kidoodles

Most of us are busy keeping our windows clean in Spring. Over at Lil Sugar, though, we read a full review with several parents chiming in on the virtues and (one) downfall of Kidoodles. The full-on window art test proved successful in terms of:

Impressing with ease of use and color range

Exciting the child with how his drawing "glowed" when the sun hit it

No smudging

Occupied child for over an hour

Cost is only $6 for a pack

The one drawback described in the test was that it took 10 paper towels and a lot of glass cleaner to make the windows sparkle again. According to other users, the Kidoodles are easily washable from skin and clothes, too, which is a big plus.

What do you think? Keep the drawing away from windows or give this a try?

Just got these two days ago and love them. They came off WAY easier than window crayons, which we previously had, with just some watered down vinegar and a washcloth. I then went over it with the same solution and newspaper to actually clean the window and it looks great!

I can't decide if I love these or not. Maybe with a slightly older child than mine (almost 3)? I think maybe giving permission to draw on the windows with just these particular markers could be too easily confused with permission to draw all over the house with any implement within reach. For now, we're sticking to just paper.

I'll have to look for these but we have the Lyra window crayons and they're awesome. My almost 3 yeard old loves to draw on the windows (so do I). Our only limitation right now is our 9 month old is starting to walk and stands at the windows and the crayon does rub off her hands which obviously is a concern since her hands go in her mouth so often at this age.

I def want to try these. How well do they come off the window casings?

I also use dry erase markers but the color isn't as vivid.

I love this idea. It would be great for decorating windows too. We currently use window clings for Easter, Halloween, Xmas. you get the idea. But it would be fun to draw and personalize them too. Artist comming out in me here.
