This inexpensive, easy, fun creation via The Swell Life has us thinking a DIY parent/child project is in order. Any variation in size, color and shape of "tiles" will do; here, Swell designer Alexa has used multicolored scrapbook pages...
For less than $20, Alexa used the following:
- Multicolored scrapbook page packs (2 packs at Target and 50 sheets in a pack)
- Zot adhesive glue dots
- tape measure
Of course, this project is not limited to a grid structure or even the bedroom. Experiment and get those kids involved in the process!

Very cool! The possibilities are endless!
Fantastic! Great color layout and impressive job actually hanging them so evenly -- that last part is always my downfall.
I'm right there with you some1else... mine would be straight but i would probably measure wrong and run out of room.
i wonder how long this would look good, especially the lower ones.
and the candles burning right in front of them?
i'm sure it's fine for regular people, but not a klutz like me...i'd tear them, burn them, pull them off the wall accidently.
You could seal them to a piece of wood (cardboard?) and then hang that to the wall.. thus eliminating the ability to rip/burn them
plus then its easier to get down when you grow sick of it or its time to move.. you just have to remove the pieces you mounted the paper to instead of every square of paper & the goo left behind by the dots
I did a "similar" thing with scrapbooking paper on my backsplash...

But mine's more permanent, since its decoupaged on there...
so this is awesome. i love it and i want to have it right now in my kids room. so thank you. I'm pretty much off to the store.
