My husband's and my bed still has no headboard after six months in our new home. I have come to really want something functional and comfortable for sitting up at night, and I think this is it:
The inspiration comes from a currently featured home in Sköna Hem. With a soft upholstery and bolster headrests, this headboard is exactly what my bedroom needs. And it looks like a completely DIY-able project. I'd love for the bolsters to be removable for cleaning. For sturdiness and ease of installation, I would probably attach the whole thing directly to the wall behind the bed. I only just came across this, but as it materialized into a project I'll be sure to share. In the meantime, check out the rest of this fresh and colorful home at Sköna Hem.

That headboard is pretty awesome, and I like their bedside tables, too!
It looks really nice, but I prefer something easily wiped like wood or leather-like. Although fabrics can also be washed if properly designed, they will likely to lose colour more quickly.
Is it felt?.. It looks really cool.... in a very informal, uber practical kind of way.
Lots of potential for a DIY project, with lots of twists.
I love the comforter/bedspread. Does anyone know anything about it?
Ditto question about the comforter/bedspread - that thing is AWESOME.
Yes I too would like to know who made the bed spread! Great colours and very pretty...
What a great headboard! Looks comfy. I really love the red with the minty walls - very retro.

I love the crochet blanket!
What are those tables!
Don't think it's a comforter, it looks like a crocheted afghan. Not a fan of the headboard. And I'm skeptical of how comfortable headrests like that would really be, I would think a plush headboard and a couple pillows would be more comfy.
I think Sarah-Marie is right - that awesome bedspread might be mini-granny-squares, sewn in a registered pattern. It does look really great.

Oh, that lips telephone! I used to covet that phone like crazy.
Very clever idea ! And it looks great and design. I never would have thought about this...
that is the best crocheted blanket EVER!
The spread is definitely mini granny squares. looks like three colours to each square and then a thin row of the base colour (black I believe) to finish it off. Then you sew them together.
It would be time consuming to make but it's not hard. You can find the instructions on how to make crochet granny squares online for free on craft sites, yarn dealer sites, MarthaStewart.com etc.
