Hitting the shelves tomorrow, Tile Makes the Room is a new book by Heath Ceramics that celebrates how the building material is used to create memorable and beautiful spaces.

Owners Catherine Bailey and Robin Petravic spanned the globe for homes, hotels, gardens, restaurants, museums, and more with masterful and creative use of tile, including their own 1890s home in Sausalito near the original Heath factory.

While Heath is best known for tableware, Bailey says, “Tile’s been a part of our business since the late '60s when Edith Heath and her team began exploring using the same clay we were using for dinnerware as a functional and decorative building material. We love ceramic tile because it has so many functional, design, and even artistic possibilities.”
