Name:
Heather & Erik
Location:
Richmond, VA
Division:
Warm
Inspiration for my palette:
My husband painted our inspiration piece (above the television) in college and as soon as I saw it I was smitten. I (he's color blind) picked both complimentary and contrasting colors from the painting.
Colors used in my room:
Walls:
Golden Sand Valspar (2007)
Accent colors:
Paprika (window valence, pillows and other accessories)
Aqua/Turquoise (pillows, lamp shade ribbons, and other accessories)
Orange (pillows and paintings)
Tips for using color successfully:
It’s tried and true: Find a piece of artwork or a textile that calls to you and build your room around it. We have lived in our home for seven years and I am just now loving all parts of the room.
