They all take waaaaay too much effort to figure out.
bepsf: that's part of their "insider" appeal. And I say that as someone who never really got very good at figuring the one I was gifted, so I fail.
I guess I don't get it. I want a clock ONLY to tell me the time, hopefully wh ile not looking ugly. If I didn't care what time it was, I would save the display space for something prettier. So making figuring out the time a game is pointless to me. I want a digital watch for precision, and I am content with either analog or digital clocks, but they need to be visible and readable. Not weird kinetic art!
