Q: My partner and I have been lucky enough to move into a really large apartment - about 2,200sf. The place is amazing but pretty strange...imagine a single level ranch home from the 1960's with super high ceilings and a bit of a personality crisis.
We have the mid century lighting, a giant chandelier in the same room, and let's not forget the faux fireplace. To get down to it, both of us are pretty minimalist so we do not have very many things to fill 500sf of space, we are at a loss about the layout, and we do not want to spend thousands of dollars on a sectional sofa...that kind of money just isn't in the cards. A regular sofa is just too small and would be swallowed by the space. Some things to consider: We are planning to remove the faux fireplace and the gold lighting, and also are open to removing the shelving as well. We would also like to have some sort of landing strip since you enter the house directly into the living room.
