Q: I recently picked up this neat mid century clock at an estate sale and haven't been able to find any info on it anywhere. It's about the size of a small bowling ball and appears to be ceramic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ercol Bar Stool
Maybe it was homemade from a clock kit and clay?
Cool! My first thought was Michael Graves/Target; but if there are no markings at all, IDK. Good find!
Often when something doesn't click in my American brain, I think maybe its European.
Does it open? Are there are markings inside?
It definitely looks "George Nelson" - esque. Do you have a local antique store that carries mid century modern Herman/Howard Miller or Vitra?

very tough. I am a google master and came up empty handed. The clock doesn't have any markings at all? Can you take the face off and look behind it maybe?
Can you show the back? Is there anything on it? It looks to be wind up? I get an European vibe as well, maybe Italian.I dont even care for MCM,but that clock is awesome!
Joseph, I don't know what it is but I'd have picked it up too! It's FABULOUS.
I love that I can enjoy my unknown Mid Century items for their fun design, equally to my "iconic" pieces. Enjoy this one!
It looks like something from the Memphis design movement.
