Q: I'm looking for a contemporary square coffee table that's around 34" x 34", and I cant seem to find one on the east coast! I am trying to find a table similar to the ones pictured, two levels with a mix of the wood top with steel legs. Can you please help me!

White Enamel Flatwa...
Restoration Hardware..practically every coffee table looks like the one in the photo.
Also, West Elm - http://www.westelm.com/products/rustic-storage-coffee-table-g569/?pkey=ccoffee-side-tables
Oh, sorry, you wanted the two levels. That eliminates the West Elm one.
World Market has a similar rectangular one.

I found very similar coffee tables at Home Decorators as well as Ballard Designs BUT they are not square. They're rectangular. Don't know if that would be an option as I see you want square but it might be a good backup plan. They look just like the photo above but different in shape. Good luck!
Love Restoration Hardware, but they don't have a square wood/metal table with 2 levels.
I found a similar square table at Four Corners Home, but without the bottom shelf:

Def going to consider the WM Aiden table if I cant find what I want in square, thanks!
not enough time to work the Google Fu to its fullest, but found end table and coffee table that you might like

couldn't find that one or ones with shelves (that seems rare in square tables) but here are other options:
it's not two tiered but crate and barrel makes a 34x34 table:

bo concept has a similar size one:

Also, there was an Ikea hack on AT a few days ago. If you are handy you might want to try.

Is the one pictured out of your price range or is there some other reason that one isn't an option?
Desiron has a 45" square Wooster table.
When in doubt you could always have it custom made. It wouldn't even be that outragous. Use craiglist or other local sites to find local metal workers/ welders. Most would be willing to Make and paint the metal frame to the size you want. Then you can add or talk to a woodworker about adding the wood parts.
But thats if shopping for one fails I suppose.
(Can we tell I'm close with contractors in my personal life can't we.)

This is the link to buy the on in the image....
But I assume for some reason you can't buy this one, or you wouldn't be asking this question.
Centsational Girl hacked an IKEA Vittsjo shelving unit by replacing the shelves with wood. There are Vittsjo coffee and nesting tables you could do the same way if you're looking for an inexpensive fix. They're not square, but it's an inexpensive option and they do have a bottom shelf. The metal part could be distressed or spray-painted, too. Good luck.

Thanks everyone. I LOVE the Luberon square coffee table, but its too large. I also am thinking about having it custom made, but I don't want to spend a fortune. I am going to try to also find a 2 level rectangle coffee table that isn't on wheels. Thanks so much for all your suggestions, Apartment Therapy readers rock.
I have one that looks like this but it has just one level. Got it off Craigslist. Search your local furniture listings for mid-century or industrial coffee table. That's how we found ours!
i got one just like that at macys home furniture store but it is a rectangle. try overstock.com. they have a huge selection of almost anything you can think of.ps, that would be super easy to make as well...
Erin,
Fabricating a steel table is not terribly difficult. I just finished one for the plants in our apartment. Took me all of a couple hours. Wood can be purchased from a local vendor and the steel can too. Then all you need is a competent welder, most likely a budding young art student willing to work for a bit less than a well known designer, he could probably benefit more from the project anyway and would be happy to get the commission.! You may end up paying about the same thing as you would from a retail vendor but... you could customize your design and know that your helping out someone who doesn't have a mechanical body and computer chip brain....
Anyway. good luck, find the closest university art/design program and talk with craft or sculpture professor, he'll send you to the nearest skilled youth who's capable.
Cheers.
I have the same problem. I saw a coffee table that I loved but it was too big for my apartment. It had a glass top and a metal base. I decided to have the base made for me, but I didn't know who could do the work. Thanks for all of the good ideas.
I'm going to jump in with a similar question (given we're talking coffee tables!). I've found lots of glass & steel (my preferred style) coffee tables that I like, but they all seem to be 48" long. My space really can't manage that but I'm having trouble finding anything closer to 36".
Thoughts?
Ballard Designs has this exact style in multiple sizes

Or order from Room and Board which is USA made unlike most Ballard
