Q: I recently purchased some cut flowers from my local florist, and one in particular smells wonderful. I returned today to see if I could ask them the name of the flower, but they seemed not to be selling it anymore. Anyone know what the name of the flower in the picture might be? Thanks!

Howard Butcher Bloc...
It's tuberose.....
Indeed, double tuberoses.
Thirded, tuberose! And when you go back to the florist to ask for it, it's pronounced tuber-rose.
yep tuberose - had them in my wedding...makes a great perfume as well!
You can grow them from bulbs but they take a long time to flower, so start them indoors in early spring.
Neer knew what that flower looked like! Love all the wise people on this site:)
