Name: Henry (7 months)
Location: Pinckney, MI
Color Inspiration: Being that we chose not find out the gender of our baby, I wanted to make sure that I created a space we could bring a boy or girl home to. I really wanted something in the nursery to pop, so I painted the dresser a lovely yellow....not lemon, not mustard, but a nice yellow nestled somewhere in between. The dresser became the focal point of the room and from there, I added bits of aqua and black with touches of vintage, new and hand made pieces.
Tip for Using Color: Be sure to edit your palette. Once I established the colors I wanted to use in the room, I had to edit a few out as to not overwhelm the small space. Starting with a neutral wall color allowed me to scatter bits of bright color throughout the nursery.
Colors Used: Dresser: Yellow......not lemon. Not mustard. But a lovely in between yellow. Walls: Chalky grayish-blue. Accents of black, aqua, white, and green
Thanks for your colorful entry Kelly and good luck!
