Today is the day iPhone fans have been waiting for. The Apple Store is down for the update, the big press conference is underway and tech sites around the world are live-blogging away. Here are some details hot off the digital press (aka Gizmodo)...

• Made entirely of glass and aluminum. (Gizmodo)
• 7.6 mm thick, 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the 4S. (Engadget)
• Same 326 ppi retina display as the iPhone 4S with a 4-inch display (Ars Technica) and 44% more color saturation. (Engadget)
