If visiting the seventh continent is on your bucket list, you're in luck. Once empty save for explorers, scientists, and penguins, Antarctica is now trendy enough to have its own glamping.

White Desert is run by a travel company based in Cape Town. The luxury campground in Antarctica is open during the summer months of November and December when the temperatures are a balmy -5 degrees Celsius (that's 23 degrees Fahrenheit).

Each of the domed pods sleeps two and has an ensuite bathroom. There are separate pods for dining and living.

The camp was recently renovated and provides all the trappings of comfort at a latitude of 71 degrees.

Each trip is tailored to the traveler, and activities include climbing, skiing, flying to the South Pole, visiting a penguin colony, and trekking through ice tunnels.
