Well, somebody had to be the first.
We're just a little sad it was funky-skunky Lisa Millard (restaurant designer from Berwick, PA.)
Because she has a sense of humor, remembers paint names, and (we suspect) is not above a little dumpster diving. Hear her take on the Design Star experience:
But mostly we're bummed because, even as the first casualty of HGTV's megahit Design Star, Lisa was very sweet and extremely gracious. (Well, that, and because we thought her artsy space was way better than the Sheherazade train wreck of Lisa's competitors… and she pulled her space off single-handedly…)
Hopefully, she can parlay her early TV demise into tons of work the way Clay Aiken sold way more records than did Ruben Studdard.
And hear all about the show straight from the HGTV VP, Event Programming, James Bolosh, in the interview that kicked off the season of this HGTV ratings powerhouse exclusively for AT readers.
