HGTV's Designed to Sell Leaving DC?

HGTV's Designed to Sell Leaving DC?

We dropped into our favorite watering hole last night only to discover it has apparently become HGTV's favorite as well; the same site that Property Virgins used for a yet-to-air episode last night hosted the wrap party for the DC version of Designed to Sell...

We know not everyone here is a fan of the show, but we've always enjoyed the chance to peek into houses and apartments in neighborhoods and buildings in our area. Also, we're eternally grateful to Designed to Sell for convincing people that every room in your house doesn't have to be white. We've painted colors in three rooms in Mom's apartment in the last year (breaking a 30+ year tradition of white walls) and we're sure it was exposure to shows like Designed to Sell that helped break down her resistance!

It was great to see the cast and crew having fun together, and they were very gracious to fans as well, handing out HGTV visors and bags to all. We were sad though when we overheard indications that the show, which recently expanded to Atlanta, may not be returning to the DC area next season. We don't know it is market related, or just that they want to try out new cities, but we'll miss the DC episodes and crew in the mix.
